Recommended Reading: Edgar Cayce, An American Prophet

This book was written by Sidney D. Kirkpatrick.

If you become involved with spirituality, you begin to delve into the question of past lives and history. Have I been here before? It can be challenging for our minds to wrap around these concepts. Concepts about space and time and a soul’s path and purpose.

The Edgar Cayce readings helped to pull all of those concepts together for me, and this book helped to explain his life story in a way that made sense and gives context to the volumes of readings that he left behind for us.

That he is not more famous and that his story isn’t well known is always shocking to me. But I found his experiences and his teachings to be foundational in my approach. His constant affirmation and statements in the readings that one lives “according to their spiritual ideal” which is an approach very similar to the Kriya Yoga concept of the Ishta Devata.

Even if you know nothing of Edgar Cayce, this book is a great launching point into studying and understanding there are many worlds, many realms, and you absolutely HAVE been here before.

Shanti,

Jill
